Patricia Wheatley Obituary


Patricia D. Wheatley GRANDY - Mrs. Patricia Davis "Pat" Wheatley, 70, wife of Kenneth Wheatley, a resident of Grandy and formerly of Northside Chesconessex, Va., passed away Sept. 29, 2008, at her residence. Born March 6, 1938, in Nassawadox, Va., and reared in Northside Chesconessex, Mrs. Wheatley was the daughter of the late Page Davis and Marjorie Pruitt Davis. She was retired from AT&T Telephone Co. and was a member of Jarvisburg Church of Christ in Jarvisburg, N.C. Other than her husband, survivors include two sons, Keith Wheatley of Virginia Beach and Kevin Wheatley of Chesapeake; three sisters, Marilyn Coombs, Gail Willett and Alisa Hardstock; three grandchildren, Breanna, Austin and Sidney Wheatley; several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted from the Jarvisburg Church of Christ Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Crehan and the Rev. Tom Hunt officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Onancock, Va., at 3 p.m. There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Albemarle Hospice, 311 Cedar St., Elizabeth City, NC 27909 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Paula Belote, P.O. Box 894, Parksley, VA 23421. Memory tributes may be sent to the family at www.williamsfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements by the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home.
