Louis Parker Obituary


Louis Parker Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Louis Parker Sr., 78, passed away Sept. 28, 2008, in Dallas. Louis was born to the parentage of Willie and Ethel Parker in Virginia Beach, Princess Anne County in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Oct. 15, 1929. A decorated war veteran, he served in both the Korean War and three tours in the Vietnam War before retiring as a first sergeant in the United States Army Field Artillery in 1972. Mr. Parker continued to serve his country as a federal housing inspector for U.S. Army Billeting in Lawton, Okla., retiring in 1982. Mr. Parker departed life Sept. 28, 2008, leaving the following family member to cherish his memory his wife, Etta Parker; children, Daphne Freeman, Louis Parker Jr., Sylvia Etheridge and Hermon Haynes; sister, Elizabeth Veasey; in-laws, Irene Parker, James and Dorothy Jordan and Ordell Butts; grandchildren, Kandee Parker, Ashlee Haynes, Kyle Freeman; great-grandchildren, Shae Pointer and Amonie Hayes. You will be missed by me and my family, even though it been years since I've seen you, I always ask about you, I have three daughters that you never had the chance to meet, but they know all about their great uncle and your brother their grandfather.
