LaVerne was a kind and giving person. When I began dating her niece Viola (who I eventually married), she welcomed me with open arms and a big smile and she always made me feel at home. I never heard her saying anything negative about anyone and always treated others with kindness and respect. LaVerne was a good person and will be missed.
