Marion Froehler Obituary


Marion L. Froehler VIRGINIA BEACH - Marion L. Froehler, 86, passed away Oct. 4, 2008, in Canton, Mich. Marion was born in Chicago March 10, 1922. She was the daughter of Bernard and Bessie McGraw. Marion was predeceased by her loving husband of 33 years, John H. Froehler. She is survived by her five children, John Froehler and his wife Mary of Virginia Beach, Donald Froehler and his wife Marilyn of Chesapeake, Robert Froehler of Virginia Beach, Marilyn Copley and her husband Joseph of Virginia Beach and Patricia Lenczewski and her husband Richard of Canton, Mich. Marion was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Not only was Marion a loving wife and mother she was also very active within the community. She had been a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church since 1964. Her interest in gardening produced a long affiliation with garden clubs in the area. She was a member and past president of the Princess Anne Plaza Garden Club, a member of the Country Gardener's Guild and a member of the Council of Garden Clubs. She was also past treasurer of the Princess Anne Plaza Civic League and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. The family would like to offer a special appreciation for our sister Patty and her husband Rick for taking care of our mother, especially in her final days. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, 3600 Virginia Beach Blvd. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
