Carolyn L. Darley CHESAPEAKE - Carolyn Leslie Oakley Darley, our beloved Mamaw, went to be an angel Oct. 9, 2008, surrounded by her loving family in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital following a heart attack and stroke. She was 71 years young. This is an unexpected and painful loss for the family. Carolyn was born Dec. 17, 1936, in Portsmouth. Carolyn and Clifford loved to travel the country and cruise the world together. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 54 years, Clifford Darley; four children, Cynthia Moose, Kay Harwood (Jeff), Chris Darley (Tammy) and Michael Darley (Mary); and nine grandchildren, Katrina (Anthony), Tim, Stephen, Leslee, Chaise, Allison, Bonnie, Cassidy and Rachel; and four great-grandchildren, Clayton, Kyle, Lauryn and Aiden. I have fond memories of being at my aunt Carolyn's Christmas Parties as a child. It was always a wonderful time! Sitting on Santa's lap and hearing lots of stories. There was always lots of great food - including oyster dressing. I will not forget the happy Christmas celebrations with family! Love, Kelly Greenwell
