Gwendolyn O'Hara Obituary


Gwendolyn Lee O'Hara VIRGINIA BEACH - Gwendolyn Lee Schmidt O'Hara, 77, lost her battle with cancer Oct. 7, 2008, at home. Daughter of the late Alfred and Elvera Schmidt, she was born in Saint Paul, Minn., and moved to Virginia Beach in 1979. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia and husband Kurt Hanger; three grandchildren, Jay and wife Kim Berger, Scott Berger and Ashley Hanger; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Geraldine and husband Paul Williams. Memorial services will be held in Minnesota at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA for the animals. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the Odyssey Hospice Group and especially Nora and Bonnie for their care and compassion. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements.
