Steve Beunis Obituary

Steve Robert Beunis KILL DEVIL HILLS - Steve Robert Beunis died Sept. 23, 2008, in his home. Born Dec. 3, 1958, in Portsmouth, Steve was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Fini Q. Beunis and survived by his father, Stephanus Beunis and two sisters, Gemma B. Wallace and Thalia B. Waggoner. Steve loved his friends and was equally loved by them. He was the life of the party and never met a stranger. He had a loving heart and always gave to those in need. Steve was a avid sportsman. He loved bow hunting, fishing, scuba diving, skiing as well as a good game of golf. Steve was a independent contractor most recently providing services to Northern Marine. His beloved dogs, Tanner and Sandie, are loved and taken care of by his father on 12 acres. They have the companionship of a black lab and a pit bull mix. They have all become vast friends and "The Pack" play and hunt squirrels all day. A wake in Steve's honor for family and friends to celebrate his life will be held Monday at Kelly's Restaurant, Nags Head, from 6 till 7:30 p.m.
