Gladys Haney Obituary


Gladys K. Haney VIRGINIA BEACH - Gladys K. Haney was called to her savior peacefully at her family's home Oct. 12, 2008. She was born in Duncan, Okla., May 25, 1936. Her beloved survivors include her daughter, Sandra Swanner; best friend, George Papuchis; grandchildren, Shelby and Daniel Proctor; great-grandchildren, Hayleigh and Jenna. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held after the service at 757 Meade Lane, Virginia Beach. Condolences may be made to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

Sandra, please accept my condolences. My mother, Ruth, and your mother (and Geroge) were great friends when we were growing up. I remember when Shelby was born. My mother's name is Ruth Dean. I have three sisters, Vicki, Karen and Mary. You and your family are in our prayers. Please let us know if there is anything at all that we can do for you.
