Lucille Taylor Obituary


Lucille V. Taylor PORTSMOUTH - Lucille V. Taylor, 96, passed away Oct. 19, 2008. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Alexander Baptist and a former member of Cradock Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor is survived by a daughter, Leah Schafer of Chesapeake; two sons, Donald Taylor and wife Dorothy of Miami and Richard Taylor of Portsmouth; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy S. Taylor; 11 grandchildren, Lon Carver, Sara Cooley, Donald R. Taylor, Susan Espada, Jeannine Guarino, Tony Taylor, Karen Shumaker, Tammy Asbury, Kathy Coburn, Christina Grover and Tiffany Taylor; 16 great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Sharon Taylor and Sarah Bremer. She was predeceased by her husband of 75 years, Harold Grover Taylor and son, Gary L. Taylor. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Ray Owens with burial in Greenlawn Memorial. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Loving Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Mission or to the Salvation Army. Condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
