Miriam Quincy Obituary


Miriam N. Quincy VIRGINIA BEACH - Miriam N. Quincy, 86, went home to be with the Lord Oct. 21, 2008. Mrs. Quincy taught at Baylake Pines for 18 years. She was involved in several organizations including the United Methodist Women, Mary McFadden Circle, Knitted for Navy Relief, Meals on Wheels, and the Ocean Park Women's Club. She was a lifelong member of Baylake United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir. She volunteered at the Virginia Marine Science Museum and at Thoroughgood Elementary School. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Cary Quincy Jr.; her son, Cary Perry Quincy III and his fiancee Lynn Tolle; her daughter, Ava Plemmons and her husband Michael; three grandchildren, Renee Bunch and her husband Thomas of Pulaski, Va., Carey Lynn Plemmons and her fiance Eric Bough and Jamie Nicole Quincy, all of Virginia Beach; a great-granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Bunch; her sister, Minnie Louise Stanford of Virginia Beach; and her brother, Preston Nixon of Hertford, N.C. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Baylake United Methodist Church, 4300 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23455. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baylake United Methodist Church.

I was so saddened to read that Mrs.Quincy had passed away! I am in Mississippi and just happened to read the notice online.I am so sorry for your loss.I sure love your mom and dad.Your mother would often come visit my mother when she was so ill and she always was doing for others.My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.
