Catherine Gribbin Obituary


Catherine Norton Gribbin VIRGINIA BEACH - Catherine Frances Norton Gribbin of Burlington Township, N.J., and formerly of Virginia Beach passed away Oct. 22, 2008, in Burlington, N.J. A native of Scranton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John A. and Kathryn D. Norton and the widow of John Maurice Gribbin Sr. She retired from Edgewood Regional High School in Camden County, New Jersey, school system as a teacher. She was a graduate of Marywood University and a member of The Catholic Church of St. Mark. Catherine is survived by her son, John M. Gribbin Jr. and his wife Dawn of Burlington Township; her sister, Marie N. Lacey of McLean, Va.; and three grandchildren, Annaleigh Gribbin, John M. Gribbin III and Jason Perez. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cathleen Gribbin. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Catholic Church of St. Mark. The entombment will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
