Barbara Bishop Obituary
Barbara S. Bishop NORFOLK - Barbara S. Bishop went home to be with the Lord God Almighty Oct. 26, 2008. She was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Littleton, N.C., to Florence R. Settles and the late Arthur Settles Sr. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Settles Jr. and husband, James Roscoe Bishop. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Bertram A. Bishop and Brehon K. Bishop (Claudia); granddaughter, Chantal Bishop; grandsons, Maurice and Bjarne Bishop; sisters, Yvonne Lomans (Monroe) and Dorothy Wilford (Ricardo); niece, Krystal Wilford; brother, James T. Settles (Beverly); nieces, Cynthia Settles and Lolita Gatson; nephews, James, Shawn, and Tony Gatson; and a host of relatives and friends. Mrs Bishop will be missed dearly by the staff at Norfolk Health Care she was my personal favorite. I remember buying her lunch when she wanted some chicken, i remember given her the earrings out my ear because she said she liked them. Her laugh and smile would bighten my day.

The love that Aunt Barbara gave me as a little girl will never be forgotten, she handmade me a beautiful necklace the last time I was able to visit her, I will cherish this so dearly in her memory.

Florence, Yvonne, Dot and Tim, my condolences to you all.. I know you will truly miss Barbara. I would have loved to have seen and talked to her. My condolences as well to Brehon and Bertram (even though they dont remember me) GOD Bless You ALL
