Joseph James Obituary
Joseph H. James Sr. NORFOLK - Joseph H. James Sr., 80, of the 200 block of W. 30th St., was called home to be with the Lord Nov. 1, 2008. He was born July 2, 1928, to the late Meta and Ely James in Windsor, N.C. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy C. James. Joseph was well known for his delicious hot dogs. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Phyllis and Regina; two sons, Joe Jr. and Michael; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters; three brothers; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 206 W. 30th St. one hour prior to the service for the procession to the chapel where they will also receive friends Friday. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
