Erin Heischober Obituary


Erin E. Heischober VIRGINIA BEACH - Erin Elizabeth Heischober, 29, died Nov. 3, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Norfolk June 13, 1979, she was the beloved daughter of Carol J. Heischober and Larry D. Heischober, both of Virginia Beach. Baptized an Episcopalian at Old Donation Church, Erin was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Norfolk. She was a graduate of Cox High School and Virginia Wesleyan College. Erin served her community in her work as publicity director for the Norfolk Jaycees. She will be greatly missed by her many friends at the CB Richard Ellis Groups, where she worked as a marketing assistant. Left to cherish her memory are her parents; her grandparents, Frank and Ellin Johnstone and Alice Heischober; her aunts and uncles, Margaret and Skip Miller, David and Kim Johnstone, Robin Baugh, Paul Johnstone, Steve and Liz Heischober, and Jeanne and Barry Peele; and her cousins, Andy and Mary Ann Miller, Nate Miller, Jay and Jessica Johnstone, Elizabeth Baugh, Stephanie and Adam King and Mali and Allison Heischober. Erin also left behind a host of friends and her dear "brothers," Albert, Finley and Jerry. Erin was predeceased by her grandfather, the late Hon. Harold Heischober. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Norfolk. Following the service, a celebration of Erin's life will be held at 2572 Sandfiddler Road in Sandbridge. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memories and thoughts may be shared with the family at www.hdoliver.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 224 S. Military Hwy., Norfolk, VA 23502.

It broke my heart to hear the news. If you were sad, Erin would make you feel better. If you were happy, she'd actually make you happier.

I met Erin while in college. She became a sorority sister and our friendship is one i will always treasure. She was such a beautiful person. Erin always had a smile on her face and a hug for everyone. She was always in great spirits and was always there for her friends. She will be greatly missed.
