Miriam Goda Obituary
Miriam Goda PORTSMOUTH - Miriam Goda passed away Nov. 8, 2008, in her residence. She was born in Philadelphia and was the widow of Joseph Goda. Mrs. Goda was a member of Gomley Chesed Congregation and belonged to Gomley Chesed Sisterhood and Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary. She is survived by her loving daughter, Marsha Weinstein of Virginia Beach; niece, Janice Levin and Ali Vanassi of Baltimore and her daughter Jamie Levin and husband Kevin Duckworth of Miami Beach, Fla.; nephew, Alexander Haus and his wife Joyce and their children, Michael and Ariel of Riverside, Calif. Miriam had many close and loving friends who will miss her dearly. A graveside service will be held today at 11 a.m. in Gomley Chesed Cemetery, Portsmouth. Rabbi Phillip S. Krohn will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
