Michael Scott Obituary
Michael Carl Scott PORTSMOUTH - Michael Carl Scott, 54, passed away peacefully Nov. 8, 2008, in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. A native of Portsmouth, he was the son of the late Leroy "Baby Lightning" Scott and Wilma Jones Scott. Michael attended Wilson High School. He was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as a soloist in the youth choir. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Scott. He is survived by three sisters, Sheryl Stancil (Dorsey) of Columbus, Ga., Renee Scott and Betty Smith (Richard) of Chesapeake; one brother, Donald Scott of Portsmouth; a very special aunt, Vivian Scott Brown; and a special cousin, Barbara B. Watford (Alex) of Portsmouth; and other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Fisher Funeral Home Chapel, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth, with interment in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will be at 528 Lenora Ave. and will assemble there for the procession to the chapel.
