P. Gibbs Obituary


P. Frances Gibbs VIRGINIA BEACH - Pearl Frances Greenough Gibbs, 73, of the 5500 block of New Colony Drive, passed away Nov. 10, 2008, in Virginia Beach. A native of South Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Lennie Bateman Greenough. She retired from civil service in 1998 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. She is survived by two daughters, Jodi Bowman and husband Lou and Michelle Lewis and husband David; sister, Mary Duncan; six grandchildren, Cori Paris, Joey Bowman, Scott Bowman, Davis Lewis, Jack Lewis and Jared Lewis; nephew, Chris Duncan; great-niece, Danielle Duncan; and many other nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, 4832 Haygood Road, Virginia Beach, with the Rev. Jim "Bubba" Pugh officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the church. Graham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
