Gloria Johnson Obituary


Gloria S. Johnson CHESAPEAKE - Gloria S. Johnson, 75, of the 700 block of West Lake Circle, was called home to be with the Lord Nov. 13, 2008. Gloria was born in Roanoke, to the late Nannie Divers and Broderick Hendricks. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington, Class of 1951, and a retired supervisor from Safeway Corporate Office in California. Gloria was predeceased by her stepfather, Robert Divers; sisters, Margaret Cuffee and Ruth Harris; and brother Floyd Moore. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Theodore Arrington Jr.; her sister, Joyce D. Colden; her grandson, Keebway Parker; special nephew, Leonard Cooper; special friends, Sarah Riddick and Peggy Christian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. Interment will be private. Family and friends will assemble at 313 Holly Glen Drive, Chesapeake, one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
