Frances Boccella Obituary


Frances A. Boccella VIRGINIA BEACH - Frances A. Boccella, 85, passed away peacefully Nov. 19, 2008. Ms. Boccella was a longtime resident of Camden, N.J., and had resided with her daughter and favorite son-in-law in Virginia Beach for the last 10 years. She retired from the Weyerhouser Co. with more than 20 years of service. She was the daughter of the late John and Emma Riebel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Boccella. Her life was highlighted by fishing with her loving companion, Frank Stefanski of 30 years, who preceded her in death. She was actively involved and very much loved and adored in the Kempsville Recreation Center Senior Citizens group. She was an active, good-hearted, kind, thoughtful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed. Survivors include her three daughters, Grace Childers and her husband Terry of Virginia Beach, Diane Baker and her husband Robert of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Frances Tracey and her husband Robert of New Jersey; three brothers, John Riebel of Florida, William Riebel and Charles Riebel, both of New Jersey; four sisters, Margaret Coffee, Elizabeth Zdep, Christena Saler and Mildred Andrew, all of New Jersey; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held following the visitation in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church at 1 p.m. by Father J. Morton Biber. Online condolences may be made at www.hdoliver.com.
