Reginald Brown Obituary


Reginald D. Brown CHESAPEAKE - Reginald Delano Brown, 63, of the 3200 block of Moat Lane, entered into eternal rest Nov. 22, 2008, in his residence. He was born March 28, 1945, to the late Deacon Lee Edward Brown Sr. and Mother Venezuela Sparrow Brown in Norfolk County. Reginald received his early education in the Chesapeake school system. He furthered his education in the Job Corps Training Program where he became proficient in auto mechanics. Reginald served in the U.S. Army, serving a tour of duty in Vietnam and as a result was a disabled veteran. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved friend and caregiver, Mary Spellman of Chesapeake; his estranged wife, Peggy Brown of Northern, Va.; one daughter, Deanna Brown Cousino (Dan); four sisters, Elder Carolyn Brown (Samuel) of Norfolk, Elder Gloria D. Anderson-Hart (Royce) of Nashville, Tenn., Edith Brown-Smith (Robert) and Joann Jones (Iris), both of Chesapeake; six brothers, Lee Edward Brown Jr. (Elizabeth) of Norfolk, Charles Brown of Philadelphia, Willard Brown (Marie) and Rudolph Brown (Jean), both of Chesapeake, Kenneth Brown (Debra) of Norfolk and Robert Brown (Monica) of Richmond; and a host of other relatives and friends. A homegoing service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cathedral of Faith, 2020 Portlock Road, Chesapeake. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 3213 Moat Lane one hour prior to service for procession to the church. A Christian wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. Chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
