Celeste Brown Obituary

Celeste H. Brown VIRGINIA BEACH - Celeste H. Brown, formerly of Baltimore and a longtime resident of Virginia Beach, died Nov. 25, 2008. Celeste had recently moved to Our Lady of Perpetual Help from Atlantic Shores, where she had been living after the death of her husband, Alfred A. Brown, in 1991. They had shared a beautiful and active life together on their boat, The Celeste I and later, The Celeste II. Their boat was docked for many years at their home in Lynnhaven Colony and later at the Cavalier after they moved to 44th Street and Atlantic Avenue. They were members of the Flotilla 57 and the Cavalier Yacht and Country Club. The only living family known was her stepdaughter, Karen Pritchard of Westin, Fla. Celeste loved her faithful and devoted caretakers, Terry Ysla, Sandra Mente and Rozelle Pumaras-Fiesta and the wonderful staff at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. A graveside service will be held Friday at noon in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.hdoliver.com.
