Mary Fletcher Obituary


Mary Louise Fletcher VIRGINIA BEACH - Mary Louise Fletcher, 79, passed away peacefully in her home Dec. 2, 2008. She was very active in Glenwood Community Church and among her community of friends. She was a great cook who loved spending time with family and friends and she certainly loved her Lord. Born in Louisville, Ky., Mary Louise was the daughter of Luther and Sallie Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Arthur Fletcher, five brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Lawrence Fletcher of Virginia Beach; granddaughters, Melissa Harr Fletcher of Virginia Beach and Dallas Jean Fletcher of Atlanta; sister, Helen Wilson Davis of Albuquerque, N.M.; and many nieces and nephews. The family is deeply appreciative to Kim Grant for the love and caregiving of Mary Louise. A celebration of her life will be held at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 5045 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, at 2 p.m. Saturday. The family will greet friends and guests in the fellowship center following the service. Mary Louise will be interred on a future date in Louisville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23452.

My dear sweet Mary, how I miss you!! You and I had great times and great discussions of life issues and our love for our Lord Jesus Christ together. I have such wonderful memories to sustain me. I loved you deeply and I will see you in Heaven!!
