David Wolchko Obituary


David M. Wolchko VIRGINIA BEACH - David Michael Wolchko, 79, of the 5200 block of West Lake Road, passed away Dec. 3, 2008, in his home. A native of Jeddo, Pa., he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Wolchko. He retired from the United States Navy as a chief warrant officer 4 after 30 ½ years. He was Catholic and a Naval veteran of Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Marie Dorothy Wolchko; four daughters, Nancy Thomas and husband Ronald, Jeanne Weaver and husband Robert, Ruth Scmitt and husband Stuart and Jo Ann Plain and husband Daniel; two sons, David Michael Wolchko Jr. and wife Nancy and Andrew Wolchko; two sisters, Helen Shenosky and Anna Mae Bobby; three brothers, Joseph, George and Michael; and nine grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. in Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling the arrangements. All non-military who wish to attend the service, must register with the funeral home at (757) 464-6221. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
