Arthur Massie

A. Allen Massie NORFOLK - Arthur Allen Massie, 66, born May 5, 1942, was called home to be with the Lord Dec. 4, 2008, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Allen is survived by his wife, Lillian R. Massie and stepson, Eddie Jones, both of Norfolk; his sister, Linda Bailey and her husband Wayne of Virginia Beach; also left to cherish his memory is Allen's extended family that include aunts, uncles, nephew and nieces; he also leaves behind many dear friends who will truly miss him. Allen was preceded in death by his father, Buster Massie and mother, Margaret Mabey; his brother, Cecil Massie; and stepson, Roy Dye, all of whom were surely present to welcome him into heaven. A memorial service will be conducted at Gateway Freewill Baptist Church, 5473 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, at 6 p.m. Thursday.
