Robert Clark Obituary


Robert H.K. Clark Jr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Robert H. K. Clark Jr., 62, of the 1800 block of Roves Lane, passed away Dec. 7, 2008, in his home. A native of Arlington, Mass., he was the son of the late Elizabeth and Robert H. K. Clark Sr. He retired from Compo Construction Co. as a superintendent. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union and an U.S. marine sergeant who served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Mary Green Clark; two daughters, Amy Madsen of Portsmouth and Christina Alexander and husband Dion of Chesapeake; two sons, Robert H. K. Clark III of Virginia Beach and Brian Clark of Chesapeake; a stepson, Darrell A. Green of Florida; and a sister, Elizabeth Clark of Norfolk. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Elysia Clark, Erin Clark, Aiden Hawthorne, Blaze Alexander, Danielle Harden, Ashley Harden, Taylor Madsen and Kristopher Green; a great- grandchild, Brooklin Harden; two daughters-in-law, Larraine Clark and Candice Clark; two nephews, Edward and John Palmer; and a niece, Anne Cummings. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Clark and a stepdaughter, Sheila Green and a granddaughter, Jamie Myers. A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating. The burial will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Ruritan Court, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
