Kenneth Clem Obituary


Kenneth W. Clem CHESAPEAKE - Kenneth W. Clem passed away in his home Dec. 8, 2008, after suffering from a long illness. He was born Oct. 4, 1930, to the late Willard and Margaret Clem of Portage, Ind. Kenneth retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after having served 28 years including two tours in Vietnam. He was predeceased by his parents, Willard and Margaret, as well as his brother, Jack Clem. He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Janice; along with their two daughters, Sandra Jones and Suzanne Mills; his two brothers, Richard and David Clem; and Jonathan Mills, to whom he was both grandfather and a mentor. Per his wishes, no funeral will be held, but rather his family and friends will celebrate his life at a later date. Kenneth was a compassionate and loving man enriching the lives of everyone he touched, always putting his family first. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Strelitz Diabetes Institute, 855 W. Brambleton Ave., Norfolk VA 23510. Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family.
