Patricia Eberhardt Obituary


Patricia J. Eberhardt VIRGINIA BEACH - Patricia Jean Eberhardt, 78, of the 4400 block of Monmouth Castle Road, died Dec. 7, 2008. A native of St. Louis, she was an employee of the National Lead Co. before marrying a brand new second lieutenant. She shared 51 years with the late retired Lt. Col. Guy Albert Eberhardt, Infantry, USA. Pat served as the "Colonel's Wife" for the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) upon its deployment to Vietnam. She was a member of the Retired Officers Wives Society of Tidewater. Pat was the mother of the late Elaine Carol Eberhardt and is survived be her loving son, Michael D. Eberhardt of Suffolk; her granddaughter, Kathleen E. Sparks of Virginia Beach; grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel Eberhardt of Suffolk; and her sister-in-law, Frances Garner and family of St. Louis. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a memorial be made to Heartland Hospice Fund, 5040 Corporate Woods Drive, No. 150, Virginia Beach, VA 23462-4370. Please visit Pat's memorial at www.mem.com.
