Joseph Nanney Obituary
Joseph D. Nanney CHESAPEAKE - Joseph D. Nanney, 69, of Long Ridge Road, passed away Dec. 3, 2008. He was a retired ironworker from Local Union 79. He liked NASCAR, fishing, old cars and making everyone laugh. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria; sister, Faye Peadon and her husband Lyman; brother, Laverne Nanney; sister-in-law, Patsy Leary; children, JoAnn Capps, Donald Nanney, Wendy Droll, Amy Sizemore; grandchildren, Chanel, Jared, Joey, Colby, Logan, Jessica, Jackson and Brinna. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Twiford's Funeral Home, 929 S. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake. Pastor David Turner will officiate. The family will greet friends and guests at the Nanney home following the service. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.twifordfh.com.
