Ethel Nath Obituary


Ethel W. Nath NORFOLK - Ethel Waterfield Nath, 81, passed away Dec. 9, 2008, with her family by her side. She was born in Princess Anne County to the late Theodore Griffin Waterfield and Lula May Waterfield. She worked as an audit supervisor for Sears for 14 years and retired as secretary and bookkeeper from First Christian Church in Norfolk. She was a member of First Christian Church and the National Association of Parliamentarians. She was also a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine, Zuleikia Court No. 35, the Court Patrol Unit, was a charter member and past president of the Norfolk Ladies Scottish Right and Norfolk Ladies Shrine Club. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, James T. Nath; two sons, Bruce R. Nath and wife Betty of Virginia Beach and Michael W. Nath and wife Margaret of Utah; four grandchildren, Brian, Kelly, Steve and Heather Nath; and by many nephews and nieces. The Nath family is gratefully thankful for the professional and loving care shown to Mrs. Nath during her illness by Loraine Bertha, R.N. and Michelle Simonson, Social Services (Odyssey), Gail Sykes and Natasha Bynum, her personal assistants and all the Odyssey and Windemere staff. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1600 Colonial Ave., Norfolk. A visitation and viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6350 Center Drive, Suite No. 102, Norfolk, VA 23502 or the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607. Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater is handling arrangements, www.candfservices.com.
