Alfred Pair Obituary
Alfred Pair PORTSMOUTH - Alfred Pair, 88, of Blue Heron Point, died Jan. 12, 2009, in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. Mr. Pair was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Temple in Portsmouth. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Pair; a son, Arthur L. Phillips (Shelia); two sisters, Dorothy Kelley and Evelyn Robinson; two brothers, James Pair (Clara) and Wilbert Pair (Ethel); two grandchildren, Nicole Threatt and Tamika Lane (Edwin); a great-grandchild, Alexa Threatt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Mount Hermon Baptist Temple by Dr. Leo Whitaker. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth, is in charge. Viewing will begin today at noon. The family will be at the residence.
