William H. Hinson

William H. Hinson CHESAPEAKE - William H. Hinson, 74, passed away Jan. 20, 2009, in his residence. He was born in Kinston, N.C., and was retired from Doughty's Foods Inc. after 20 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Hinson; daughter, Shelby Hinson Littrell and husband Ken of Lowell, Ind.; two sisters, Frances Whitfield and husband Clarence of Kinston, N.C., Ann Dail and husband Ray of Snow Hill, N.C.; brother Grover Hinson and wife Carolyn of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and eight grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Douglas William Hinson; two sisters, Helen H. Hoell and Jeanette H. Hardy; and brother, Wilbur Hinson Jr. A private memorial service will be held in Kinston at a later date. The family will receive friends at the residence.
