Ernestine A. "Sunshine" Grice

Ernestine A. Grice VIRGINIA BEACH - Ernestine A. "Sunshine" Grice, 68, quietly departed her earthly life Jan. 20, 2009, at 2:33 a.m. and entered into eternal life with her heavenly Father. She was born July 13, 1940, in Grundy, Va., to the late Ernest and Clara Tipton. Ernestine was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met. Even though she was wheelchair bound it never stopped her from enjoying bowling, UNO, Old Maid and funny movies with her family. The color red was her favorite. White roses were her favorite flowers and crocheting was her hobby. Shane and Nikki were her favorite dogs and she always looked forward to any opportunity to be out of doors. Ernestine was a true inspiration to her daughter, and will be deeply missed by her family. Left to cherish her memory are her only child, Cecelia A. Edic and husband Timothy of Virginia Beach, Clara Bailey and children Ryland and Bill Sizemore and their families, Carolyn Trabant and family, Barbara Ratcliff and family and other loving cousins. A celebration of Ernestine's life will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Calvary Chapel, Virginia Beach, 5228 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Spina Bifida Association and/or National Meningitis Association.
