Joseph Green Obituary

Joseph A. Green Jr. CHESAPEAKE - Joseph Alexander Green Jr., 60, of the 2100 block of Allison Drive, passed away Jan. 19, 2009, in Charlotte, N.C. He was born Dec. 11, 1948, to the late Villis Lee Phelps Green and Joseph A. Green Sr. in Norfolk. Joseph was employed with The Shaw Group as a QAQC manager for 33 years. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sharon Kelly-Green; three daughters, Keisha Green Robertson, Brandinika Ritter and LaToya Ritter; one son, Joseph A. Green III; two sisters, Esther M. Lassiter and Ada Phelps; one brother, Shannon Martin; two grandchildren, Joseph A. Green IV and Joel R. Green; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at the residence one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
