It was a distinct personal pleasure to have called George my friend. A true man of God, follower of Christ and servant to his fellow man. George will be missed by all that crossed his path, and heaven is a bit brighter since he joined the angels.

I worked with Michelle for many years at Alltel and had the plesure of spending time with her family a few times at their home in Duck, NC. He was such a nice person and I know he'll be missed deeply by everyone who had the pleasure to know him. My sympathies go out to Michelle and the entire family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Averette, but know his daughter Michelle from our years together at Alltel. I can see what an amazing man he was through the writings i have read and the person Michelle is today. My deepest prayers go out to your family during this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Uncle George. I always looked forward to one of his bear hugs when we came for a visit. He will be missed terribly by all those whose lives he touched.

Love,
Erin, Sam and Colin
