Susan Feamster Obituary

Susan Vermilya Feamster KILL DEVIL HILLS - Susan Vermilya Feamster, 65, passed away Jan. 27, 2009, in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Clifton Forge, Va., she was the daughter of the late Oakley Ellsworth and Ethel LeViness Vermilya. She was a loving wife, daughter and friend to all and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She was predeceased in death by her daughter, Barbara Ann Feamster; brother, William Oakley Vermilya; father, Oakley Ellsworth Vermilya; mother, Ethel LeViness Vermilya; and her husband of 39 years, James Franklin Feamster. Susan graduated from Ahoskie High School in 1962 and stayed close with many of her classmates through the years. They enjoyed each others lives as they remained close and they always had a good time together. Classmates Judi Ruffin, Pat Joyner and Lynda Robbins were especially close and spent many rewarding moments together. She was a member of Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church. A graveside memorial service will be held in Clifton Forge, Va., at a later date. The family suggests tributes take the form of memorial donations to Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 900, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949. Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, is assisting the family with arrangements. Visit www.twifordfh.com to sign the online register.

Susan Feamster taught us all what being a friend really meant. Her steadfast loyalty was there through sunshine and storm. Her love and support remained like a beacon over time and distance. The light is gone now from the physical world but shines forever in our hearts.
