Letcher Travis Obituary

Letcher L. Travis VIRGINIA BEACH - Letcher Lee Travis, 62, of the 6300 block of Colby Way, passed away peacefully Jan. 27, 2009 "Lee," as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was born Oct. 25, 1946, to the late Letcher and Evelyn Travis in Nassawadox, Va. He was a longtime resident of Colby Way and attended an adult daycare program at Eggleston. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed. Left to cherish his memory are his loving sister, Carolyn Elliott and husband George; two nieces, Karen Rothrock and Brenda Claffy and husband Bobby; two great-nieces, Erinn and Morgan Claffy; and one great-nephew, Gordon Manning Rothrock. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Eggleston Services or to the City of Virginia Beach Disabled Services andPrograms.
