Mildred White Obituary

Mildred Toxey White VIRGINIA BEACH - Mildred Toxey White, 92, passed away peacefully Jan. 24, 2009, in Prosper, Texas. A native of Virginia, she attended schools in Norfolk. In 1934, she married Henry Danford White and was married 45 years and had two children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Turnage and Elliott Toxey and her husband. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Barnette and her husband Clyde Barnette of Virginia Beach; a son, Dennis W. White of Texas; a brother, E.L. Toxey Jr. and wife Virginia of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Teresa Carter, Robin Dunbar and Geoffrey White; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Andrew and Orion; and two nieces and their families. Mildred was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church and the Association of Research and Enlightenment. Her interests were sewing, interior decorating and cooking. Mildred was a very kind and loving woman - a friend to many. She will surely be missed. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, 4392 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach.

Pat, Clyde and family, we share your loss but rejoyce in the fact that Mrs. White is now at a wonderful resting place with no more discomfort, or pain or lonelyness. She is at the side of our Lord and waiting on us.
