Thelma P. Hines

Thelma P. Hines VIRGINIA BEACH - Thelma P. Hines, 86, of the 2300 block of Custom Circle, passed away Jan. 27, 2009, at her home. A native of Virginia Beach, Thelma was the widow of Jessie Hines and is survived by two daughters, Janet Hines Reid and husband Ronnie of Virginia Beach and Janice H. Whitehead and husband Larry of Talbott, Tenn.; two sons, Jeffery Hines and wife Linda of Santa Monica, Calif., and Terry "Buddy" Hines and wife Jane of Virginia Beach; a brother, Herbert VanNostrand of Virginia Beach; a sister, Sereda Golden of Richmond, Va.; seven grandchildren, Rachel and Morgan Hines, Kristi Kanipe, Jason and Patrick Whitehead, Jessie Reid and Jeffery Dillon Hines; seven great-grandchildren, Mason Reid, Jessie and Alex Kanipe, Taylor Whitehead, Tyler Morie and Ethan and Sarah Whitehead. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Nimmo United Methodist Church Cemetery.
