Lorraine D. Thomas CHESAPEAKE - Lorraine D. Thomas, wife and mother, was born in Norfolk July 6, 1969, to Walter A. White (deceased) and Brenda Jackson. She was called home Jan. 25, 2009. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Shawn Thomas; her two sons, Shawn Jr. and Isaiah Thomas; stepdaughters, Brittany Blakely and Davita Douglas; her mother, Brenda Jackson; sister, Sharonda A. Lewis; brother, Wesley White; stepbrothers, Shawn White and Tion White of Norfolk; stepsisters, Glenae Jones (Namon) and Tiona White. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Riddick Funeral Service, 1225 Norview Ave. The viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with the family to receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. www.riddickfuneralservices.com.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Thomas family during this time. Shawn Jr. attended Chittum Elementary for several years and those of us who cared for him and taught him know how much Lorraine loved her children. May God's peace and compassion fill the hearts of those who loved her, and will miss her.
