Arthur Harris Obituary

Arthur Harris PORTSMOUTH - Arthur Harris, 86, of the 400 block of Taft Drive, passed away Jan. 27, 2009, at Maryview Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Essie Marie Harris; one daughter, Delvonia M. Gray; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 5017 Pearl Street one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday with the family receiving friends from 3 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
