Lilia Tirado Bain

Lilia Bain Obituary

Lilia Tirado Bain VIRGINIA BEACH – Lilia Tirado Bain passed away Jan. 31, 2009 in Virginia Beach. A native of the Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Policarpo and Enrica Tirado. She was a founding member of St. Mark's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Larry G. Bain; a daughter, Rhonda L. Bain-White and her husband Norman White; two sisters, Corazon Ramos and Christy Buchanan; a brother, Wilfredo Tirado; three grandchildren, Haley Ann Olson, Maya Lilia White and Evan Bain White; and a great-grandson, Hayden Marshall. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Abellana; and three brothers, Gregory Tirado, Mario Tirado and Jesus Tirado. God saw that she was getting tired, so He put His arms around her and whispered, "Come home with me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating; a determined spirit was at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. A funeral mass will be offered Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's Catholic Church, 1505 Kempsville Road, by Fr. James Griffin. A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5510 Milners Road, Suffolk. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel. Yesterday she was your mother – Today she’s your angel
Protecting you by day and guarding you by night
She did not leave you – though she’s no longer in sight
If you believe and hold your breath tight
Close your eyes...she’s right beside you – you know that I’m right

She’s watching over you when you’re asleep
Wrapping her wings around you when you weep
When you stumble, your angel will lift you up high
She’ll whisper to you softly and soften your cry

When you’re sad, your angel’s heart will still break
But she will comfort you and quiet your aches
It will take patience and it will take strength
But know that God’s love for you has an endless length

You’ll hear your angel in every child’s laughter
And feel her peace in the storm’s morning after
In the sunrise of the morning and in every star above
In those God’s gifts – you’ll see your angel’s love

Pain and death will come again never,
Because your guardian angel is forever.
