Harvey Tucker Obituary

Harvey Lee Tucker Sr. NORFOLK - Harvey Lee Tucker Sr., 73, entered into eternal rest Feb. 3, 2009. He was born in Greenville, N.C., to the late Thomas and Helen (Dyer) Tucker. Harvey retired from the City of Norfolk after 20 years of service in the Public Works Department. Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Maggie B. Tucker; eight children, Charlotte E. Watkins of Suffolk, William Brown, Donnie R. Tucker, Valerie M. Saunders, all of Norfolk, Renee Tucker-Blye of Saint Mary's, Ga., Harvey L. Tucker Jr., Alphonso T. Tucker and Rosaland E. Arroyo, all of Norfolk; one brother, Anthony Tucker of Norfolk; two sisters, Ms. Linda Cheatham of Loganville, Ga., and Dr. Edwina Dubose of Harrisburg, Va.; 23 grandchildren; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Pastor Keith D. Newsome will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at the chapel for the service. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
