Nancy and Family,
When I was two-years-old, my parents found Kiddie Korner Day Care and that is when I came to know and love Mee-Ma. I remained in her care until I was six years old- my parents opted not to send me to kindergarten, but allowed me to stay with Mee-Ma one more year because her school was so great and she taught me so much. I cherished the time that I spent with her, especially the last year that I was in her care and the visits our family had with her as we were growing up. In my last year in her care, while the other children were napping, she and I would sit together and read. When I started first grade I could read chapter books and she was so proud! She loved me and I so much appreciated all that she did for me and all that she taught me. As a token of her love for me, when I moved on to school, she gave me a present that I have to this day. In a little white box, she had wrapped a beautiful necklace that had a gold pendant covered in daisy's, which is for the month that I was born. My parents always let me wear that necklace for special occasions as I was growing up, and I will cherish that gift always! Even though I have moved away from Virginia and am now married with a family of my own, Mee-Ma has always remained close to my heart. When someone touches your life so much at a young age, they will remain with you for the rest of your life. I know that Mee-Ma was such a loving and kind woman who taught and loved so many children through the years. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. God Bless you Mee-Ma- you were loved and you will be missed!

Nancy and family,
I would like to express my deepest sympathy at the loss of your mother. My daughters, Stefanie and Alisha, were students about 30 years ago. We were so blessed to have found the "Kiddie Korner" and to have them participate in her program. She worked very hard to ensure that they were prepared for school and was very proud of each of them. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by many. My prayers are with you and your family as you go through this difficult time.
