Jesse Riddick Obituary

Jesse J. Riddick Jr. PORTSMOUTH - Jesse J. Riddick Jr., 90, passed away Feb. 14, 2009. He was a native of Bethel, N.C., and was the son of the late Sarah and Jesse J. Riddick Sr. He was a member of West End United Methodist Church and was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Ruth W. Riddick. He is survived by his two daughters, Connie Armentrout and husband Hank of Chesapeake and Roma R. Halker of Henderson, Nev.; a son, Jay Riddick and wife Roberta of Chesapeake; six loving grandchildren, Bobby, Tommy, Jay Jay, Hank, Stacy and Jason; and six loving great-grandchildren, Dan, Bailee, Hank III, Jamie, Madison and Ethan. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Rick Geoghegan. The family will receive friends in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
