Dear Family Members,
Mr. Rowell was a kind and sensitive individual. He took a personal interest in all of the students. When our oldest son was a student at Tyler Elementary, he developed a strong bond with Mr. Rowell which kept them in touch for years. The world has lost a wonderful person. May his loved ones know how special he was to so many people.

Mr. Rowell was my principal at Yourkshire Elementary School in the 1960s. I will forever remember him as the huge, fearsome teddy bear. I have taught school now for 25 years and have never had a principal to work for that I respect as much as I respected Mr. Rowell.
