Louise Bridgers Obituary

Louise M. Bridgers PORTSMOUTH - Louise Marshall Bridgers, 93, passed away Feb. 15, 2009, in Florida. She was a native of Wilson, N.C., and a member of West End United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bridgers was predeceased by her husband, James M. Bridgers; parents, Mamie Hoover Marshall and Larry J. Marshall; a son-in-law, David R. Wells; and a sister, Evelyn McCann. She is survived by two daughters, Sondra Bridgers Drori and husband Akiva and Louise Bridgers Wells; three grandchildren, Suzanne Wells and husband Steve Latham, Jacqueline Wells Wernimont and husband Jerry, Teresa Gray Cole and husband Jim; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer Wernimont, Ashlee Wernimont, David Latham, Benjamin Latham and Ashley Cole. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all. Her great-grandchildren knew her as "Darlin." A graveside funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Rick Geoghegan. The family will receive friends in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Condolences can be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com.
