Nancy Klabnik Obituary

Nancy J. Klabnik VIRGINIA BEACH - Our merciful God took mercy on Nancy J. Klabnik, 68, our loving mother, grandmother and Aunt Nancy. She joined her husband, soulmate and best friend, Raymond Sr. on Feb. 16, 2009. Daughter of Jenny and Fredrick Derringer, she is survived by her sons, Raymond Jr., William, his wife Glenna and their daughter, Nancy Margaret, all of Virginia Beach and numerous nephews and nieces. Nancy was affectionately called "Mom" by many of her friends and adopted family members. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Sr., who was a member of Knights of Columbus Father Habets Council 4632 and Father Habets Assembly 1505. She was a great cook and baker. Her greatest enjoyment was working side by side with her granddaughter, Nancy. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Virginia Beach. A Rosary will be said today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a visitation until 9 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the church Friday before the Mass from 10 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund or Princess Anne Courthouse Volunteer Rescue Squad. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hdoliver.com.
