Elsie Lawson Obituary

Elsie K. Lawson PORTSMOUTH - Elsie Katrina Lawson, 85, formerly of Rivercrest Drive, passed away Feb. 18, 2009, in South Carolina. A native of Portsmouth, Elsie was the daughter of the late Alexander and Hilda Nelson, widow of Franklin H. Lawson and a member of Fairview Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Franklin Thomas Lawson; two grandsons, Christopher Brett Lawson and Jeffrey Thomas Lawson; and three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Benjamin Lawson. A funeral will be held at noon Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. David Parker. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Saturday. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
