Betty J. Hendricks VIRGINIA BEACH - Betty J. Hendricks, 75, passed away Feb. 19, 2009, in Parson's Residence Care Center in Chesapeake. Betty was a lifelong resident of the Tidewater area and lived in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. She was a retired homemaker who also spent years working in legal offices in this area. I want to offer my condolences to the family and friends of dear Betty. I was so sad to learn of her passing. I got to know her for a short time--18 months, while staying with her as a companion at her Kempsville Greens home. I was inspired by her commitment to her activities with St. Jude, her bridge club, her golfing...those things she was loyal to for more years than I had even been alive. I will always remember her. She was a unique and special lady.
