Dottie was born in New York, the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Bannon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Collins and a brother, William Bannon. Dottie was an employee at Lake Wright for more than 20 years before starting at Seagate Colony where she had worked for the last 15 years. We would like to extend our appreciation to the Seagate Colony family for their loving care and support throughout our mother's illness. She is survived by four daughters, Suzanne R. Snyder, Jeanine Christian and husband Mark, Maureen Hodges and husband Trey and Georgette Metzger; two stepdaughters, Karen King and husband Keith and Dawn Tatem and husband Jim, all of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Tommy Bannon and wife Ethel of New York and Michael Bannon and wife Faye of Florida; two sisters, Mary Fee and husband Frank of New York and Pat Bannon and Buddy of Florida. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Christopher, Steven, Robert, Brittney, Michelle, Casey, Adam, Chase and Corey; and four great-grandchildren. We will all miss her. She was more than a mother to her children. She was a mother to all who knew her. We will love you forever. A funeral Mass will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in St. Gregory's Catholic Church. She will be entombed in Rosewood Memorial Cemetery following the Mass. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road.

Aunt Dot: You were always so good to me and treated me like one of your own children. I will always remember you as you made everyone laugh around you and were always so giving to all. You will always be in my heart and sadly missed....Take care Auntie Dot!!
